President’s Letter
November
I hope those of you who are coming to the
Fall Conference in Carolina Beach are prepared for a great time!
The committee has lined up fantastic speakers, great food
and of course some wonderful door prizes for us all to enjoy.
And of course we’ve managed to provide a beautiful North
Carolina Beach! I
hope everyone who is attending is planning on being present at
our NCENA meeting being held at Giorgio’s restaurant in
Wilmington on Thursday night at 6:30pm.
The food is to die for and this is one NCENA meeting when
we will not be discussing business, we’ll be celebrating our
past year and gearing up for the year to come.
It’s unbelievable how much has happened in
2008, and 2009 is probably going to be just as if not more
exciting!
I’d like everyone to welcome the 2009 board:
President, Dianne Steele.
President-Elect, Jeff Strickler.
Treasurer, Valere Bilichka.
Secretary, Ryan Oglesby.
Director, Elaine Marshall. I’d also like to thank the
2008 board for many hours spent on the computer, phone, road, in
Golden Corral and listening to many of my ideas and plans.
They have been a fantastic group and even there are some
carry-overs into 2009, 2008 will always be a memorable year for
me. They are:
President, Dianne Steele.
President-elect, Jason Moretz.
Treasurer, Valere Bilichka.
Secretary, Denise Garee.
Director, Bobby Smith.
I'd like to leave you all with a thought. For those
of you who have taken on a new office, committee, chairing a
committee or you're thinking about getting more involved and you
just don't know what to do, and you're thinking "What an I
doing?? Am I crazy?" Remember this:
Those who try to do something and fail…are infinitely better
than those who try nothing and succeed!
